Starting a project
How do I get started?
Book a free consultation or call us. After that conversation we prepare a proposal for your review. Once you approve it, we send an electronic invoice you can pay online or over the phone, and work begins.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on the number of pages, features such as ecommerce or booking, and how much content we create for you. After a free consultation you receive a clear, written quote before any work starts.
How long until I see my first design?
You'll typically receive your first design draft within about five business days after placing your order. Providing accurate information about your organization up front helps us create something that meets your expectations.
Do you work with clients outside Phoenix?
Yes. We're based in Phoenix, Arizona and build websites for organizations across the U.S. Everything can be handled by phone, video and email.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
All kinds: small businesses, professional services, healthcare practices, nonprofits and schools, real estate, ecommerce brands, trades and home services, and agencies that need a white-label build partner.
How do I pay?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.
Designing your website
How can I view my design and the progress of my website?
We email you a private link where you can review your design and watch your website come together.
What if I'm not satisfied with the first design?
We work with you until you're happy. We'll discuss what isn't working and provide new options until you approve the design.
Do you write the content for my website?
We can. Copywriting is available for any page, or we'll edit and optimize the content you provide. You're responsible for the accuracy of the products, services and statements on your website, and you approve everything before launch.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. We consult with you on the best way to refresh your image, then walk you through the process, carrying over your SEO and setting up redirects so you keep your rankings.
What platform do you build on?
Most of our websites are custom-designed on WordPress, so you're never locked into proprietary software. We also build fast standalone landing pages.
Do you design logos too?
Yes. Logos we design belong to you, and you receive a complete set of files in all the formats you need for print, web, advertising and directories.
Getting found online
What does "AI search-ready" mean?
Your website is built so AI tools such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Gemini can understand your organization: structured data (schema), answer-first content, fast and crawlable pages, and details that match across the web. Learn more.
Will my new website rank on Google?
Every site launches with on-page SEO, schema, fast load times and Google Search Console set up, which is the foundation for ranking. Competitive keywords usually also need ongoing SEO.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No one can guarantee rankings on Google or mentions in AI answers. What we commit to is a clear plan, best-practice work and honest reporting.
Do you manage Google Ads?
Yes. We manage Google Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads and social media advertising, and build the landing pages they send people to. See PPC management.
After launch
Can I use a different hosting service?
Yes. We also offer design-only projects so you can host your website somewhere else.
How does the maintenance service work?
On a monthly maintenance plan, we update your website's software and back up your files and database. When you need a change, email us and we'll take care of it. See hosting & maintenance.
Can you take over a website someone else built?
Yes. We regularly take over, repair and maintain websites built by other companies, and can move them to our managed hosting.
The fine print
Who owns the rights to my designs?
Everything OrangeSky Websites creates for you belongs to you once it has been paid in full and the commitment has been fulfilled. We don't hold any interest or residuals in the logo or website we create for you.
Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes. We recognize the importance of confidentiality and are happy to sign an NDA.
How can I cancel a service?
Changes or cancellations must be requested by email at least 24 hours before your next scheduled charge. Charges that have already been processed on the billing date can't be refunded.
